Brian and Ret are on a shared mission: to help high-performing humans slow down, tune in, and rise into the next chapter of their lives with clarity, intention, and aliveness. Together, they created the Mind-Body-Spirit Triathlon—a daily practice and transformational yearlong experience that blends science, soul, and stretch. Rooted in ancient wisdom and modern performance psychology, their work is a portal for anyone ready to reconnect, realign, and recommit to what matters most.
Brian is a transformational coach, UCLA professor, and founder of Hit of Happiness. With a background in accounting and strategy consulting at PwC, Brian left the traditional path to study the science of happiness and pursue a life of purpose, presence, and possibility. Through his teaching, speaking, and group coaching programs, he helps high achievers trade burnout for alignment and success for significance. The Mind-Body-Spirit Triathlon is his answer to one of life’s most important questions: How do we feel alive—every single day?
Ret is a seasoned entrepreneur, nature guide, and the creator of The Misogi System. As co-founder of Ned, a wellness brand rooted in natural healing, and an architect of transformative outdoor experiences, Ret’s mission is to help people reconnect with their primal power and deepest truth. He brings decades of global business experience, a reverence for nature, and a gift for creating challenges that unlock clarity, courage, and presence. For Ret, the Triathlon is a daily invitation to return to the body, the breath, and the beauty of being fully alive.
We met at the edge.
Not the edge of burnout or breakdown—but the edge of what was next. Both of us had built “successful” lives by conventional standards. The degrees. The businesses. The freedom. And yet, something deeper was calling. Not for more... but for different. For deeper. For truth.
We started swapping stories: of silence and suffering, of misogi and meaning, of Ironmans and nature retreats. What we realized was this—what high-performing humans need most isn’t more productivity. It’s more presence. A reason to slow down, get honest, and come alive again.
That insight became a practice.
That practice became a framework.
That framework became a movement.
The Mind-Body-Spirit Triathlon is the result of everything we’ve learned—through coaching, business, burnout, retreats, reinvention, and years of asking the hard questions. It’s for people like us, and maybe like you:
Driven. Curious. Ready. Standing at the edge of what’s next.
We believe your next chapter isn’t found in a spreadsheet or a strategy—it’s found in your nervous system, your daily habits, your soul.
We believe transformation doesn’t have to be complicated—it has to be consistent.
That simplicity scales. That clarity is a compass. That truth is felt in the body.
We believe:
The Mind-Body-Spirit Triathlon is our way of helping people return home to themselves.
One step. One breath. One day at a time.
